Kwanzaa was created in 1966 by Dr. Mulana Karenga/Ron Karenga (born Ron Everett), a professor and chair
of the Department of Black Studies at California State University, Long
Beach. Dr. Karenga
once wrote a book, and as a public service PiratePundit
reproduces it here. The book is not in
print, and Dr. Karenga receives no royalties from the
sales of the few existing copies, and PiratePundit
reproduces it here not for profit, but without editorial comment and as an
attempt to make available an historic document written by an historic figure.
